Rashba coupling and spin switching through surface states of Dirac semimetals

We study the effect of Rashba spin–orbit coupling on Fermi arcs topological Dirac semimetals. The is induced by breaking inversion symmetry at surface. Remarkably, this could be enhanced interaction with substrate and controlled an external electric field. analytically numerically rotation spin surface states as a function electron's momentum strength. Furthermore, detailed analysis spin-dependent two-terminal conductance presented in clean limit addition random distribution impurities. Depending magnitude quadratic terms Hamiltonian, spin-flip may become dominant, thus showing potential system for spintronic applications, since robust even presence disorder.
